Matt is a Partner at 1842 Fund, a venture studio fund anchored by the University of Notre Dame and operated by High Alpha Innovation. Before joining High Alpha Innovation, Matt was recruited by Notre Dame to establish and lead the Innovation and Commercialization arm of the University. In this role, he successfully commercialized technologies spanning Therapeutics, Deep Tech, and Software, sparking his deep appreciation for the Venture Studio model.
Prior to his role at Notre Dame, Matt also contributed to the success of the University of Utah's Innovation arm, which, under his tenure, achieved the distinction of being ranked #1 in the country in University commercialization.
Matt's passion lies in the transformative potential of Venture Studios, particularly when applied to solving social problems without compromising financial returns.
