i-guide robotics, inc. has spent three years and about $2 million to develop an Autonomous Robotic Navigation System. A system that they will first use to guide a commercial lawn mower. The lawn mower learns its path by an operator driving it the way he wants the lawn mowed. On subsequent mowings he positions the mower close to the starting point and it will follow the path it was taught. Two cm. accuracy is achieved by cell connections to a GPS base station(s). i-guide robotics receives recurring income for every hour each mower operates. Payback for the user of the system is one mowing season.
